Time Frame: 12 years after the end of season 3

Rex's approximate age: 29 years old

- In years following Cure Event, Providence still doing research work in regards to remaining nanites
- Some priority has shifted to dealing with super villains who have been around a while or recently shown up, such as the mad scientist at the end of s3, Gatlocke, Hunter Cain, the Consortium, etc.
- Rex takes up a more prominent role as a super hero; media names by headlines: "Machina Rex, King of Machines"
- Rex and Six still partnered, still going on missions together
- About a year after s3's end, Six commits to marrying Holiday after he gets her pregnant out of wedlock
- Six and Holiday married the following year, their daughter Mia born just after
- Rex named Mia's godfather
- During this time, Rex and Circe are on and off, relationship-wise, then end up breaking it off completely
- "Providence family" remains active after Mia's birth, Holiday doing lab work with Caesar sometimes
- Meechum and Rylander working in their own facility, often visited by Caesar
- Over the years, Dos, Trey and IV eventually die; Six becomes the new One, Five becomes the new Two
- EVERYTHING IS RELATIVELY OKAY FOR ALMOST A DECADE OVERALL

- Turning point: Rex and One capture the Consortium, who are put in a max security prison
- VAN KLEISS RETURNS
- VK has been hiding in a pocket dimension with The Pack, area created by Breach containing part of Abysus
- VK breaks the Consortium out of prison and lobotomizes, then enslaves them using his EVO control power
- Intends to use them to have his revenge and find a way to get the Dominion Code
- Consortium starts a crime spree, breaking into labs and warehouses to steal equipment and data
- The night of Mia's 10th birthday, Consortium breaks into Providence HQ while Holiday and Caesar are trying to finish up their work to meet with Rex, One and Beverly... Both are killed in the break-in and following explosion
- Rex and One vow revenge and start a global manhunt for the Consortium with the help of White Knight, who passes control of Providence to Calan
- White Knight's role is as a contact/navigator, he gets info and does behind the scenes work while Rex and One get their hands dirty in the field
- Mia is left with Beverly, occasionally with Noah, Claire and their family

- During the hunt, the team is assisted by Two, Kenwyn Jones, the Hong Kong Rabble, the Green Fist and eventually Biowulf, Skalamander and Breach as they realize their master has finally and completely lost his mind
- Consortium manage to find Meechum and Rylander, both are killed, their research stolen
- VK plays it all out like a chess game, eventually intending to draw Rex to a point where he can catch him and try to extract the Dominion Code
- As Rex and One catch up with each member of the Consortium, there is no mercy; they kill and move on

- Half the Consortium has already been taken down by the time Rex and One "re-awaken" in Nautilus
- They've been on the hunt for four months already, are tired, angry and hellbent on finishing the job
